The certification agency or the ''kashrut organization''  is a body specializing in analyzing food recipes and being present during production to ensure that a food or beverage carrying their logo is in fact in compliance with the Kashrut dietary laws.

The are many kashrut agencies worldwide, one of the most popular being the kashrut division of The Orthodox Union of the USA, with its easily identifiable logo:

Yes, in order for wine to be considered kosher it needs representatives of a kashrut agency to be present during most processes of the harvesting and bottling  to ensure that the wine is kosher.

When searching and buying kosher wine it's therefore important to buy wines exclusively with the logo of reputable kashrut agencies printed on the label.

The good news is that kosher-wine.eu exclusively stocks wines only with the best kashrut certifications allowing the kosher wine buyer to browse our wines with full confidence, the agency name is always specified on our website under product details.
