Description
Second growth of Médoc since 1855, this area takes its name from "Gassies" who were lords in 1530 and "Rauzan" the name of a famous counselor at the Bordeaux parliament in the middle of the eighteenth. This castle Quié entered the family in 1945 and knows a qualitative revival with the arrival of a new director in 1995. His unique terroir is composed of many plots giving the vineyard almost complete soil sampling to obtain a high complexity.

Appellation: AOC Margaux

When one sinks into the Médoc, one of the first prestigious appellations encountered is the AOC Margaux. This one covers five communes and covers 1525 hectares including 21 Grands Crus Médoc 1855. The best soils are made up of gravelly land poor in nutrients and for the development of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes majority. The climate is temperate because it is influenced by the proximity of the large city of Bordeaux and subjected to maritime entries dating the Garonne. The wines are generally light, sweet and developed from the best producers aromas of violets and cassis nose. This is undeniably a fine terroir wines.
