The 2012 is an attractive, fleshy, lively wine displaying a dense ruby/plum/purple color, a distinctive earthiness and hints of black currants as well as unsmoked cigar tobacco. This medium-bodied 2012 should drink well for a decade. This St.-Estephe that rarely gets much attention boasts Hubert de Bouard as its consultant. The final blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc hit 14% natural alcohol, so clearly only ripe fruit was harvested.
