This boutique wine is a blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Petite Verdot.
The grapes were harvested in the choicest vineyards in the Upper Galilee and underwent meticulous production processes. Fruit and a hint of smokiness in the nose. Complex tannins, nice balance and long finish. The wine was aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and will continue to age in the bottle for many years.
Binyamina Winery has come a long way since the days when Zeltzer sourced his grapes solely from local vineyards. Today, over sixty years later, we recieve superb grapes from vineyards across the length of Israel, from the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee, including Kerem Ben Zimra, Alma, Kadesh Valley, to the Lower Galilee in the Mt. Tabor region, the Judean Hills, Karmei Yoseph, and in the south of Israel.
250 Years ago an enormous cave was quarried inside a natural grove in the heart of the Carmel Mountains. The conditions created by the cave's natural features turned it into an ideal wine cellar, and in the 19th Century it was used as such.
